Bible Jounaling

Have you tried Bible Journaling?

I thought I would give it a try.

I already have all this crafty stuff and I love to color so why not.

Maybe it will help me remember what I read about.

Make it funner.

That sounds terrible doesn't it.

I get distracted easily.

So spending time reading the Bible has always seemed like a chore,

Not interesting, boring!

But splashing color onto the page and stamping

while thinking about a few verses I read.

That's for me.

I'm following along with a devotional kit by 

Illustrated Faith called You're Beautiful.

Genesis 3:11

And he said, "who told you that you were naked?"

Their nakedness was a simple fact, not meant for shame.

If I apply the above statement to my life, I see Satan filling my head with lies.

Who told you that you couldn't do that?

Who told you that you weren't pretty?

Who told you that you were fat?

Who told you that you weren't a good mom?

Who told you that you are a terrible wife?

Do any of those sound like you.

Or do you have your own list?

Who told you?

Not god, not Jesus.

He says I am fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalms 139:14)

He says that I am made for a purpose (1 Peter 2:9)

As are you.
